Scarsdale MS Mathcounts Team Moves On To State Competition

SCARSDALE, NY — Scarsdale Middle School math students will be competing on the state level next after taking first place at the Westchester/Putnam County chapter competition of Mathcounts. The competition took place Saturday, Feb. 3.

The state competition will be held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy March 17.

The students who participated Feb. 3 are as follows:

• Matthew Zhao — No. 1 overall

The Six Individual Competitors:

• Ali El-Moselhy — Top 12, countdown round finalist.
