Scarsdale School Board to Hold 2 Sessions Week of Feb. 29

The meetings are open to the public.

SCARSDALE, NY - The Scarsdale Union Free School District Board of Education will discuss the upcoming budget, among other things, next week.

According to information from the district’s Public Information Office, the meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29 will be a budget study session.

The agenda will include a budget plan update and discussions on instruction, special education, athletics and technology.

That will be followed at 8 p.m. by a business meeting, during which the board is expected to act on items including a resolution on Mandarin instruction at the middle school and the adoption of the 2016-17 school year calendar.

The board will meet again at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 2 at which it will act on the consent agenda, hear reports from Portfolio Groups and conduct a study session.

Topics for the study session include the upcoming board retreat and communications and an athletics roundup report.

The meetings will be held at Scarsdale High School, 2 Brewster Rd. in Room 170-172.

They are open to the public.
