Scarsdale Schools Calendar 2016-17

You may be thinking about how many more days you can go to the beach, but the first day of school is just around the corner. With that in mind, here are important dates for the 2016-17 year in the Scarsdale schools.

• Labor Day (school closed): Sept. 5
• First day of school: Sept. 6
• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Oct. 3-4
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10
• Yom Kippur (school closed): Oct 12
• Election Day (closed for students): Nov. 8
• Veterans Day (school closed): 11
• Thanksgiving (school closed): Nov. 24-25 (early dismissal Nov. 23)
• Holiday recess: Dec. 26-30 (school resumes Jan. 3)
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan 16
• Presidents Day/ winter recess: Feb. 20-24 (schools reopen Feb. 27)
• Conference day (school closed for students): March 23
• Spring recess: April 10-14
• Memorial Day weekend (school closed): May 29
• High school graduation: June 23
• Final day of school: June 23
