Scarsdale Students Starring In Spring Play

Scarsdale High School's drama department is performing Summer Brave.

The young actors and actresses at have been practicing for the spring play since January. On Friday, the students will finally take the stage.

Summer Brave is a play written by William Inge and is one of the four productions the students put on throughout the year, according to SHS Theater Director Adrienne Meyer.

A total of 25 cast and crew members have been rehearsing every day after-school since January, Meyer said.

The play is geared toward children in grades eight and up, and adults, Meyer noted, with some of the themes in the play being about growing up, love and relationships.

Opening night is Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. at in the auditorium. A second show is being held Saturday, March 24 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, seniors and children; $15 for adults.
