Scarsdale Teen Center Seeks Program Coordinators

Enjoy working with teenagers? The Center @ 862 has a job for you.

Scarsdale’s teen center, located at 862 Scarsdale Ave., is “currently looking for two to three program coordinators,” according to Program Director Brittany Coleman.

Think you have what it takes? The position requires “reliable, creative, enthusiastic self-starters with experience working with young adults,” and a public relations and marketing background is a plus.

Program coordinators supervise The Center @ 862’s middle and high school clientele and assists with the facility’s various events, such as rock music shows, cupcake decorating, Halloween haunted house festivities and video game tournaments.

The job’s part-time hours are variable, depending on the event schedule and the facility’s needs, and the space is open weekdays after school, weekend evenings and the occasional Sunday. The pay is $12 per hour.

Other qualifications include, four years of experience working with youths, submitting to a background check and the ability to work independently and take initiative.

“Only candidates with prior experience with the teenage population will be considered,” according to the job description.
