Scarsdale to Test LED Streetlights

The move could lead to a total conversion of all lighting on the village's streets.

Scarsdale could soon be making the move to LED streetlights.

An article at ledinside.com said the village is considering changing its 2,000 streetlights to warm white LED lights, which are said to be less likely to disturb circadian rhythm and cycles.

A committee was set up to study LED lights in April and presented its findings and made a recommendation to the board of trustees at a recent meeting.
