Scarsdale Update: 374 Without Power Saturday

Here is the latest information from the Village of Scarsdale on the post Hurricane Sandy power outages in Scarsdale.

As of this morning, there are 374 or 8.6% of Con Ed customers in Scarsdale without power and Con Ed has reported that full Village-wide restoration will occur by 11:00 PM on Sunday, November 11.

Yesterday, 710 Con Edison customers had their power restored. Con Ed reports that they anticipate an additional 650 customers to be restored today. A total of 16 Con Ed restoration crews are currently working in Scarsdale. For those residents that currently have power, your power may be temporary disconnected while Con Edison works to repair and restore power to a larger service area. The service will be restored once their work is complete at that location.

The State of Emergency has been rescinded as all Village roads, except a portion of Brite Avenue between Chesterfield Road and Butler Road which Con Ed crews are working to open this morning and a portion of Innes Road, have been opened and the emergency conditions have been significantly remedied. The Emergency Operations Center has closed as of 3 PM Friday, November 9th. Residents should continue to call 722-1150 and Village Department of Public Works staff will assist.

A Multi-Purpose Hurricane Sandy Recovery Center has been opened at the Westchester County Center located at 198 Central Ave, White Plains. The Center will be staffed with representatives from Con Edison, FEMA, Small Business Administration, a variety of social services agencies and the Department of Health.
