Six Scarsdale Students Selected for All-State Music Ensembles

The ensembles will be part of the New York State School Music Association conference Dec. 3 in Rochester.

Six students from Scarsdale High School have been selected to participate in All-State ensembles at the winter conference in Rochester, Dec. 3, host by the New York State School Music Association.

Selection for NYSSMA’s All-State list is determined by the results of the NYSSMA solo festival that takes place in May of the previous school year. Students must score a perfect 100 on a level six work of music (the most diffcult), to be considered.

The six Scarsdale students chosen are all members of either the High School Orchestra or High School Band, conducted by music teachers Amedee Williams and Jason Noble, respectively.
