Snow Maybe After Roller Coaster: Scarsdale's Work Week Weather

SCARSDALE, NY — Welcome to another roller-coaster week, this one with a possibility of snow at the end. We'll zoom up the thermometer on Tuesday, close to 10 degrees above normal. Then we plummet.

We'll see some rainfall Tuesday-Wednesday (which we can use).

By Friday, a low-pressure system should be coming up the East Coast, and it could bring snow.

Here's what the National Weather Service says for the work week in southern Westchester:

• Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 49. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
• Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 45. Southeast wind 6 to 9 mph.
• Tuesday: Showers likely, mainly after 3pm. Cloudy, with a high near 55. Southeast wind 9 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
• Tuesday Night: Showers. Low around 42. South wind 9 to 13 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
• Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a steady temperature around 45. West wind around 11 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 29.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 42.
• Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.
• Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 38.
• Friday Night: A 30 percent chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 28.
