Soggy Start Leads To Sunny Work Week In Scarsdale
Here's what you can expect for the week ahead in Hartsdale.

SCARSDALE, NY — After a soggy start to the work week, the Hudson Valley will see partly sunny skies through Friday with temperatures cooler than usual for the middle of August. The high most days will be in the lower 80s, with lows dipping into the 50s and lower 60s.
Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather said the forecast low overnight Tuesday for parts of the Hudson Valley will be 51, something he called “cool and crisp.”
The heaviest of the rain and storms should clear out of the northeast by Tuesday.

AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said the rain will be “followed by another spell of dry and comfortable air that will hold through midweek.”
But don’t expect the drier weather to last for long, because precipitation is in the forecast for the weekend.

Here’s the National Weather Service forecast for southern Westchester:
- This Afternoon: Showers. Steady temperature around 65. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
- Tonight: Showers, mainly before 4am. The rain could be heavy at times. Low around 64. East wind 8 to 10 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
- Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 79. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
- Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 61. Northwest wind 5 to 7 mph.
- Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 81. Light and variable wind.
- Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63.
- Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
- Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.
- Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 80.
- Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 64.
