Spotlighting Weezie Mullaly on National Insurance Awareness Day 2026

Highly Accomplished Yonkers GEICO Insurance Agent Shows Her Passion for Helping Westchester Residents in Their Time Of Need

Since National Insurance Awareness Day is this Saturday, June 28, it would be fitting to "cover" (as they proudly say in the insurance industry) one Yonkers agent who is not only a business and insurance leader throughout Westchester but is also getting noticed throughout the tri-state area. We are talking about Ms. Weezie Mullaly, of the Weezie Mullaly Insurance Agency in Yonkers. What's dynamic about Ms. Mullaly is not only her role as an agent and the team she leads at her Central Avenue office, but also her blossoming philanthropy.

One recent distinction that defined her charity work was her being named the winner of the prestigious Westchester-Fairfield chapter of the American Heart Association's Go Red "Woman of Impact" campaign for 2026 (cover photo). Ms. Mullaly ultimately raised over $14,400 for women's heart health research. Additionally, she also supports other local causes, such as the Hudson Valley Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and The Guidance Center of Westchester.

Additionally, just last week on June 16 at the Gateway Center at SUNY Westchester in Valhalla, Ms. Mullaly was among 20 Westchester honorees at the Volunteer New York Leadership Westchester 2026 Graduation Ceremony. It was the 29th graduating class of this signature nine-month leadership curriculum.

Ms. Mullaly has had the privilege of being part of the GEICO family for three decades, which has led her to learn the insurance industry backward and forward. Additionally, she brings together her industry expertise with her top-notch customer service model and you get a successful insurance agent who is now looked at as a genuine female Westchester business leader of today.

In 2018, Ms. Mulally was the first female agent to receive GEICO’s Local Agent of the Year, for excellence in sales, service quality, and customer care, and only five years later in 2023, hers was a Top 20 Agency for outstanding performance. Mullaly leads a staff of 10 agents with care and compassion, incentivizing hard work and prioritizing staff morale. To pay it forward, she has served on the board of the Junior League of Central Westchester, the Junior Board of Family Services, and supports too many school fundraisers and youth sports programs to count.

To understand where Weezie is today, she started and competed with other male future insurance leaders in the areas of sales, service and claims, creating a powerful track record which led her to After working her way up in a GEICO regional office through sales, service, and claims roles, she took a major entrepreneurial leap in 2011 to start the Weezie Mullaly Insurance Agency in Yonkers where she is well loved for the work she has done with her clients. As a GEICO Exclusive Agent in Westchester County, who is licensed in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, Ms. Mulally built a smart team of ten agents at her Central Avenue office that resembles the same compassion that she began with, and they all love working for Weezie, where staff morale is a high priority of hers, as she pushes hard work with incentives, and does it with her own art of compassion and love of the insurance world.

Weezie Mullaly's entrepreneurial and insurance professional accomplishments stem from her unwavering dedication to both her customers and her team. Over the past 30 years, she has held various roles at GEICO, including leading sales, service, and claims teams at the company's Regional Office in Woodbury, New York. Later in 2011, Weezie opened The Weezie Mullaly Insurance Agency as the GEICO Exclusive Agent on Central Avenue in Yonkers. She was also recognized as an Auto and Home Sales Top Performer from 2014 to 2019, and she earned Westchester's Best Business Insurance Award in 2020.

In 2018, Ms. Mullaly became the first woman to earn GEICO's most prestigious Agency Award, GEICO Local Agent of the Year, based on her outstanding sales performance, quality and customer service results. She calls it her most proudest achievement.

In addition to her strong reputation and lasting relationships with her customers, Weezie's career is marked by numerous awards and accolades that highlight her professional accomplishments. In 2023, her agency was recognized as a Top 20 Agency for outstanding sales performance, customer satisfaction, and community service.

A philanthropist and community advocate, Weezie's social consciousness can be seen in the various ways she gives back to others, as her agency is involved in many organizations that support Westchester County. Weezie took her love of mentorship and entrepreneurial pursuits and served on the Board of the Junior League of Central Westchester, a non-profit women's organization committed to promoting volunteerism, developing women's potential, and improving the community.

This year, Weezie Mulally was recognized as the "Face of Personalized Insurance Coverage" by Westchester Magazine due to her being actively participating in various community and philanthropic initiatives.
