Steamy, Stormy: Scarsdale's Work Week Weather

SCARSDALE, NY — Temperatures and humidity are expected to climb this week. Then unsettled weather toward the end of the work week could bring thunderstorms to the Hudson Valley.

"The work week should start out decent... with temperatures in the low 80s under a partly cloudy sky on Monday," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "We’ll see the winds shift around out of the SW, and that will mean some more humid air by mid week." The NWS offers this work week forecast for southern Westchester:

• Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 82. North wind 5 to 8 mph becoming south in the afternoon.
• Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. South wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Tuesday: A slight chance of showers before 9am, then isolated showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
• Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.
• Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 90. Northwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 65.
• Thursday: A 30 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84.
• Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69.
• Friday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 83.
• Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67.
