Sunny (With 1 Notable Exception): Scarsdale's Work Week Weather

SCARSDALE, NY — The solar eclipse will cause temperatures to drop Monday afternoon 10-15 degrees. But the next day will overcompensate for that drop, with temps climbing high for a late summer feel.

"The heat really sets in on Tuesday, with sunshine mixed with some clouds… but temps should be near 90° for highs, and dew points in the low 70s will make for real feel temps in the low to mid 90s," said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. "Tuesday is looking like the hottest day we’ve seen so far this month, so get ready for a scorcher!" he said.

Thunderstorms are possible, though, and that will bring temps back down for the rest of the week.

Here's what the National Weather Service says about the work week in southern Westchester:

• Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 87. Light west wind becoming southwest 5 to 9 mph in the morning.
• Tonight: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. Southwest wind 3 to 7 mph.
• Tuesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Heat index values as high as 97. South wind 6 to 11 mph.
• Tuesday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73. South wind 8 to 13 mph.
• Wednesday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 82. West wind around 9 mph.
• Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 63.
• Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 79.
• Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 59.
• Friday: Sunny, with a high near 77.
• Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 60.
