Vigil at Greenburgh Library Tuesday for victims of terrorist attack
Support the Hindu community
This Tuesday, May 20th at 6 PM Greenburgh residents will meet at the Greenburgh Library to join the Hindu community and interfaith supporters to mourn and honor the 26 victims of the recent terrorist incidents in Jammu and Kashmir, India. The vigil will last about an hour.
I will attend the Vigil to show support for a community that is standing in solidarity and in grief. Terrorism against any religious group must never be tolerated. This Interfaith Peace Vigil for the victims of the Pahalam Terror Attack highlights our commitment as a community to work hard to fight against attacks on human coexistence. No matter what your religion is – please speak out and highlight the fact that violence against any group or religion is unacceptable.
Terrorists seek to pit religious groups against each other. When people from outside the targeted faith stand up in solidarity, it disrupts the extremist narrative. When we support each other during a crisis, it also helps build trust, reduces prejudice. Violence must always be rejected.

It would be nice if we get a great turnout from people of different faiths at this important vigil.
