Village Manager's Office Asks Scarsdale to Refrain from Trick or Treating
Updates on storm conditions and how cleanup will affect your Halloween.

Tricks and treats may be hard to come by this Halloween due to Saturday's surprise Nor'easter. 2,290 Scarsdale residents were without power as of 4:45 p.m. today, and downed wires, branches and icy roads caused the office of Village Manager Alfred M. Gatta to warn parents and children against engaging in outdoor Halloween activities.
"All residents should refrain from door to door 'trick or treating' and other outdoor Halloween related activities this evening due to the current road and walkway conditions," Village Manager Alfred M. Gatta's office said in an issued statement. "There are power lines on the ground, which may be hidden by snow, leaves and downed trees."
Gatta's office also warned that a number of public roads are still closed, and some walkways have yet to be plowed. ConEd and Village personnel are reportedly working through the night, and auto and pedestrian traffic should be kept to a minimum to allow for the work to occur safely.
