Weekend Agenda: Italian Fest; Wine Tasting; Crafts for Kids

3-Day Italian Festival

Westchester County’s largest traditional Italian street festival, the Peekskill Italian Feast begins this Friday. The fourth annual three day event will run from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.  and will take place on Brown Street, Division Street and Park Street in Peekskill. This free, family friendly event has attracted 25,000 people annually. Everybody is Italian for these three days! 

Wine and Cocktails Tasting

Corx Wine and Liquors will hold a Sizzlin’ Summer Barbecue Wine and Cocktails Tasting this weekend on Friday and Saturday. The free two-day event will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.  The store is located on 1205 Mamaroneck Ave. in White Plains. All guests who attend will receive a special 10 percent discount on their purchases. Corx will also be serving barbecue food including Pulled Pork Sliders, Chicken Skewers and Hot Dogs provided by the Black Bear Saloon. Free Craft Event for Kids

Every Saturday, Lakeshore Learning Center in Scarsdale offers free crafts for children. This week, the craft provided is entitled, “I Can Do It! Flowerpot.” Children can get excited about starting school as they fill a flowerpot with their goals for the year. The center is located at 969A Central Park Avenue in Scarsdale, and the event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Parent’s Survival Night

Every Saturday night, Little Gym offers a chance for parent’s to have a night out. Children ages three through nine are welcome to come to Little Gym for a pizza dinner, fun, fitness, games and gymnastics between 6:45 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Members and non-members alike are welcome to take advantage of this great opportunity. Stop by Petsmart this, and every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to check out adorable rescue kittens ready for loving homes. PetSmart is currently sheltering many wonderful, beautiful, friendly, healthy kittens of all colors, shapes, genders, personalities and sizes. Adoption fees apply.
