WUJI in Scarsdale Introduces Sunday Brunch Service

“Dim Sumdays" brunch service at WUJI was introduced on Feb. 29, 2016.

The brunch menu is à la carte.

Brunch entertainment is provided by DJ Stereo Monkey.

The restaurant is open for brunch from noon to 4 p.m. The dishes served at WUJI are prepared from organic chicken, pasture-raised pork, grass-fed beef, wild-caught fish, cage-free chicken eggs, Chinatown noodles, and organic vegetables.

Beverages include Asian beer, sake, wine, white ginger pear iced tea and fresh squeezed lemonade. Organic house-made beverages include soda, herbal infusion ice tea and Kusmi hot tea.

In fulfilling delivery orders, WUJI bicyclists carry food to customers packed in insulated carrier cases to keep it hot. They ride on custom designed bikes which when not in use can be seen parked at the front of the restaurant.

Owners Jody Pennette and Moodi Zahid of MAAC Hospitality Group in Greenwich, CT opened the WUJI restaurant in Scarsdale in August, 2015 and opened a sister restaurant having the same name in Rye in December, 2015. Another WUJI eatery, is being readied for opening in Greenwich, CT in March, 2016 — it is accepting delivery orders now by phone at 844-985-4669. Further into the future, WUJI restaurants are planned for Larchmont, NY, Stamford, CT, and Westport, CT.

Pennette depicts the WUJI restaurants as: “a hybrid of a Chinese noodle house meets dim sum restaurant meets tapas bar.”

WUJI is a term derived from Taoism; essentially it means unlimited, unsurpassable or sublime.
