126 Flavored Vapes Seized, 1 Arrested In Raid At Mastic Beach Store: Police

The Town of Brookhaven issued numerous citations, Suffolk police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — One hundred and twenty-six flavored vapes were seized and a man was arrested in connection with selling vape products at a Mastic Beach store on Wednesday, Suffolk police said.

Crime Section officers from the 7th Precinct in Shirley, in conjunction with the Town of Brookhaven's Fire Marshal's office, investigated Village Food Mart on Mastic Beach
Road, and found a 47-year-old man, selling tobacco vape products to a person under 21-years-old, according to police.

He was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child and sale restrictions of E-cigarettes
to persons under 21 years of age.

The Town of Brookhaven issued numerous citations, police said.

The man, from Mastic Beach, was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
