2 Hurt In 2-Vehicle Crash On William Floyd Parkway: Police
Both drivers went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash in Shirley on Sunday morning, Suffolk police said.
A 25-year-old woman from Mastic was driving a 2021 Nissan southbound on William Floyd Parkway, when a 2021 Kia driven by 38-year-old man from Mastic was making a left from Moriches-Middle Island Road onto the southbound side of the parkway, and the two vehicles collided, according to police.
Both drivers told officers that the Kia went through a red light, police said.

They were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
It happened at around 6:37 a.m.

In another incident on Sunday in the tri-hamlet area, a 2004 Toyota driven by 20-year-old Shirley woman, and a 2025 Honda motorcycle operated by 31-year-old man from Shirley collided at the intersection of Mastic Boulevard and Mastic road just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.
The pair had conflicting stories as to what color the light was for each driver, police said.
Neither was hurt in the crash.
