2 Men Try To Break In To Mastic Home: Cops

MASTIC, NY — Police are looking for two men who tried to break in to a Mastic home Thursday morning, authorities said.

Reports, unconfirmed by police, indicate that shots may have been fired.

Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating an attempted burglary during which two men attempted to gain entry into a residence on Madison Street at 11:40 a.m., police said.

They were unsuccessful and fled; there were no arrests, police said.
