2 Teen Boys Injured In Suffolk Shooting: Police

They were taken to a local hospital where they were treated, police said.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Two teenage boys were injured in a shooting in Mastic Beach Saturday night, Suffolk police said.

A 911 call reported a shooting on Locust Drive at around 10:45 p.m., police said, adding that when 7th Precinct officers arrived, they found two 14-year-old boys with gunshot wounds. One boy was struck once in the arm, and the other once in the leg and they were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the 7th Squad at 631- 852-8752 or Crime Stoppers, a confidential police hotline, at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential, police said.
