2018 Election Preview: New York's 3rd Assembly District

LONG ISLAND, NY — The 2018 midterm elections take place on Tuesday and New York voters have several important decisions to make.

Long Island residents will get a chance to vote for the representative of New York's Third Assembly District on Election Day.

Here's what you need to know before heading out to the polls this November:

Election Day: Tuesday, Nov. 6

Polling Times: Polls will open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Candidates: Clyde Parker (D) and Joseph DeStefano (R) are running for New York State Assembly District 3.

District: The Third Assembly District of New York includes includes portions of the Town of Brookhaven, including Bellport and Mastic Beach in Suffolk County.
