23-Year-Old Dies In Brookhaven Crash Early Saturday: Police
He crashed into a wooded area off the highway, police say.
BROOKHAVEN, NY — A 23-year-old died in a Brookhaven crash early Saturday, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place at about 3:50 a.m. on the eastbound Sunrise Highway at Horseblock Road.
Justin Digiovanna, of Shirley, was driving a 2021 Mazda CX-5 eastbound on Sunrise Highway when his vehicle left the road and crashed into a wooded area on the southbound side, police said.

Digiovanna was transported by South Country Ambulance to NYU Langone Hospital Suffolk where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
