$25K In Jewels Swiped From Walmart In Suffolk: Cops

Police released the image of a man they say is suspected of taking the jewelry from a locked case at the store back in November.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — Suffolk police are looking for some leads on a man they suspect of making off with over $25,000 worth of jewelry from Walmart in Middle Island last month.

Detectives say the man swiped the jewels from a locked case at the store Middle Country Road store on Nov. 5 at about 8:20 p.m. In a security camera image, the man can be seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie sweatshirt, green jacket, and blue jeans. He has a surgical mask pulled down across his chin.

Suffolk Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Anyone with information about the crash can submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app, which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips.
