29-Year-Old Man Dies In Crash On William Floyd Parkway: Police
He lost control of his 2008 Chevy Trailblazer, and it crashed into a wooded area, Suffolk police said.
SHIRLEY, NY — A 29-year-old man was killed when he lost control of the sport utility vehicle he was driving on Tuesday night in Shirley, Suffolk police said.
Akeem Brothers was traveling southbound on William Floyd Parkway in a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer when he lost control of the SUV just north of Dawn Drive, and it left the roadway and overturned, police said, adding that it crashed into a wooded area about 30 feet away, just before 7 p.m.
Police said that Brothers was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Brothers’ SUV was impounded for a safety check, according to police.
