4-Year-Old Child Found Standing Outside Business In Mastic Early Wednesday Reunited With Family: Police

MASTIC, NY — A four-year-old child was found standing outside of a business in Mastic early Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said.

Officers were called to the Mastic Road location around 3:20 a.m., and found the child's father, who confirmed the child, who is autistic, has a tendency to leave the house, and the child was released into the custody of the family, according to police.

No further information was available from police.

The incident prompted neighbors' concern on social media.
