9/11 20th Anniversary Remembrance Ceremony Planned By Mastic FD

The "multi-community unity ceremony" will start Saturday at 1o a.m. at the department's headquarters on Mastic Road.

MASTIC, NY — The Mastic Fire Department is planning a remembrance ceremony to mark the 20th Anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks.

The event, which has been billed as a multi-community unity ceremony, will be held Saturday at the department’s headquarters on Mastic Road. It is set to begin at 10 a.m.

The event will include an honor guard and the presentation of the United States' colors by local organizations, as well as a white chair memorial, guest speakers, and a community prayer.
