MASTIC, NY — Police are investigating an incident in which the driver of a motor vehicle left the scene after a collision with a moped in Mastic on Monday night, Suffolk police said.
A 49-year-old Medford man was operating a 2002 Yamaha moped northbound on Squaw Avenue, just south of Eleanor Avenue, when a southbound motor vehicle turned left in front of him and the moped ran into the side of the motor vehicle, according to police.
The driver left the scene in his motor vehicle, police said.
No one was hurt.
It happened at around 6 p.m.
