Medford Man Charged With DWI After Crash With Parked Vehicle Hurts 2, 1 Seriously, In Middle Island: Police

A 44-year-old man from Holtsville was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, Suffolk police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — A man was arrested Thursday in connection with driving while intoxicated after a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a man in Middle Island, Suffolk police said.

Noah Slusser was driving a 2017 Ford Taurus southbound on Wilson Drive when his vehicle struck a 2025 Toyota parked on the street in front of a home on Wilson Drive at around 12 a.m., according to police.

One occupant of the Toyota, a 44-year-old man from Holtsville, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The other occupant, a 27-year-old woman from Middle Island, was taken to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

Slusser, 21, of Medford, was charged with driving while intoxicated and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.

Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the 6th Squad in Selden at 631-854-8652.
