PATCHOGUE, NY — Spirit Halloween is slated to open at the former Rite Aid in Shirley, according to signage posted at the location and the retailer's website.
Workmen could be seen Tuesday afternoon preparing the site, which is located at the corner of Montauk Highway and William Floyd Parkway. It is located in a strip mall with a Gala Fresh grocery and Zwanger Pesiri Imaging Center.
The Halloween retailer is best-known for Halloween decor and costumes and operates mostly as seasonal pop-ups in communities.
Shoppers can find everything from costumes with superhero themes to historical characters like Cleopatra, or even slices of pizza.
The Shirley location will join others in Patchogue, which opened last week, Centereach, Bohemia, and Riverhead.
