Multiple local fire departments and the Moriches Inlet Response Team coordinated with the U.S. Coast Guard in rough, pre-storm conditions, removing three occupants while the captain stayed aboard awaiting Sea Tow. The swift response highlighted the intensive marine training and close cooperation among Shirley-area emergency crews.
