Woman Hurt When Jeep Strikes 2 Unoccupied Parked Vehicles And Overturns In Mastic Beach: Police

She was taken to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Suffolk police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — A 73-year-old woman was hurt when the Jeep she was driving struck two unoccupied parked vehicles at an intersection in Mastic Beach on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

She was traveling westbound in a 2008 Jeep on Commack Road, when the vehicle struck two unoccupied parked vehicles at the intersection on Johns Neck Road, at around 1:35 p.m. according to police.

The collision caused the Jeep to overturn, police said.

The Mastic Fire Department removed the woman from the Jeep, and she was taken by ambulance to NYU Langone Hospital - Suffolk in East Patchogue for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
