Another Zombie House Razed In Mastic Beach; Open Space Preserved
"Blighted houses that qualify to be demolished are coming down to improve our communities."

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Another zombie house in Mastic Beach has been razed as part of Brookhaven Town Councilman's Dan Panico's ongoing crusade to restore quality of life to the community.
On Tuesday, Panico and Suffolk County Legislator Rudy Sunderman were present for the demolition of an abandoned house located at 15 Market Street.
The house, which was vacant for many years, was seized by Suffolk County as a property tax forfeiture and transferred to the town; it was demolished by the down’s department of recycling and sustainable materials management and the property will be preserved as open space, Panico said.

“Blighted houses that qualify to be demolished are coming down to improve our communities. I’m glad that Legislator Sunderman was able to help facilitate the transfer of this county-owned home, and I look forward to working together to improve our communities," Panico said.
