1 Hurt, Arson Detectives Investigating After 2 Separate Fires In Mastic Area: Police
One person was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, Suffolk police say.
MASTIC, NY — Arson detectives are investigating two separate fires — including one that left one person hurt — in the Mastics on Monday night, Suffolk police said.
In the first fire at around 5:18 p.m., the owner of a trailer on Mastic Road was hurt and taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.
It was extinguished by the Mastic Fire Department.

A second fire was reported at a home on Magnolia Drive in Mastic Beach at around 9:45 p.m., but no one was hurt.
The fire started in a bedroom in the back of the home, and was extinguished by the Mastic Beach Fire Department.
