Arson Detectives Investigating 4-Alarm Fire That Broke Out In Mastic Home Thursday Night: Authorities

The residents escaped with no serious injuries, Suffolk police say.

MASTIC, NY — Arson Squad detectives are investigating a four-alarm fire that broke out at a home in Mastic on Thursday night, authorities said.

First responders were called to the Jeanatta Avenue home at around 8 p.m. last night, according to Suffolk police.

The residents escaped from the house with no serious injuries, police said.

In addition to the Mastic Fire Department and Suffolk County police, altogether, seven agencies responded, including the Mastic Beach, Yaphank, and Center Moriches fire departments, as well as the Shirley and Mastic ambulance companies.

The ambulance companies rehabbed all the firefighters, and they were back in service in under two hours, the Mastic Fire Department said in a post to Facebook.

The department credited its firefighters and those from neighboring departments for a "great job" and thanked fire police for traffic control.
