Bank Robbery In Mastic, Man Arrested: Cops
He presented a note demanding cash and fled on foot, police say.

MASTIC, NY — A man was charged with robbing a bank in Mastic Tuesday, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, the incident took place at HSBC on Montauk Highway at 12:48 p.m. when Randy Ayers, 58, of Mastic, entered the bank, approached a teller, and presented a note demanding cash.
The teller complied and Ayers fled on foot, police said.

Seventh Precinct officers responded and Officer Cody Matthews located Ayers a short time later, police said.
Ayers was arrested and charged with third degree robbery, police said.

Ayers will be held overnight at the Seventh Precinct, and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday, police said.
