13-Year-Old Bicyclist Struck By SUV Seriously Injured
No criminal charges have been filed, Suffolk Police say.
MASTIC, NY —A teen bicyclist was seriously injured in a Mastic crash Monday evening, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, Seventh Squad detectives are investigating the crash that took place on the northbound side of Mastic Road between Hampton Avenue and Main Avenue at 6:35 p.m.
Paiton Muens, 13, was struck by a 2016 Toyota RAV4 driven by Hugo Sinay-Boch, 30, of Mastic, while she was riding her bicycle; she was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said. Sinay-Boch was not injured, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
