Evicted Woman Struck And Her Belongings Swiped In Middle Island: Police

She told officers it happened Thursday afternoon as she was waiting for a U-Haul to come, Suffolk police say.

MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — A woman told officers that she was struck after a group of women swiped her belongings as she was being evicted on Thursday, Suffolk police said.

The woman reported that her belongings were on the curb after an eviction, and as she was waiting for a U-Haul to move them, three women stopped, and took some of them, then placed them in a vehicle, according to police.

When she approached them, they struck her, then got into their vehicle and bolted from the scene at around 4:15 p.m., police said.

The woman declined medical treatment at the scene, according to police.
