Fire Rips Through Shirley Home: Police

Firefighters and EMTs rushed to the scene of the raging fire in Shirley, officials say.

SHIRLEY, NY — Fire ripped through a Shirley home early Monday morning, according to police.

Suffolk County Police said a 911 call in at 12:35 a.m. regarding a fire on Arpage Drive; no injuries were reported, police said.

The Mastic Beach Fire Department and Mastic Beach Ambulance Company were activated for the house fire; upon arrival, the department was reactivated for a working structure fire along with Mastic and Brookhaven Fire Departments for assistance. Mastic and Shirley Ambulance Companies also responded for firefighter rehab, the fire department said.
