Hampton Bays Woman Nabbed In Underage Alcohol Sting In Shirley: Police
The investigation was prompted by community complaints, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — A woman was arrested during an underage alcoholic sale operation at a store in Shirley on Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
Officers from the Criminal Investigative Unit at the 7th Precinct in Shirley conducted an underage alcoholic sale operation at V & W Parkway Deli on William Floyd Parkway just after 3 p.m., according to police.
The investigation was prompted by community complaints, police said.

During the operation, an underage police agent was sold an alcoholic beverage by an employee, and the 37-year-old Hampton Bays woman was arrested and charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, a misdemeanor, according to police.
She was issued a Field Appearance Ticket and is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
