Info Sought On Malnourished Dog Abandoned In Shirley: Police
The mixed-breed dog was brought for medical attention, Suffolk police say.
SHIRLEY, NY — Suffolk investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying the person or persons who abandoned a malnourished dog in Shirley on Aug. 24.
The mixed-breed female dog was discovered near Dawn Drive, and brought for medical attention, according to police.
The county District Attorney's Biological, Environmental, and Animal Safety Team, or BEAST Unit, is investigating, police said.
