Long Island Man Found Shot To Death During The Storm: Police
He was found lying on the street at about 12:35 a.m. and was pronounced dead a short time later, Suffolk police said.
SHIRLEY, NY — A 34-year-old man was found shot to death — lying in snow on a Shirley roadway — early Saturday morning, Suffolk police said.
Seventh Precinct police officers were called to Flower Road, just off of Neighborhood Road, after a 911 caller reported a man was shot in the street at about 12:35 a.m., police said.
Daniel Decosta, 34, of Coram, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, according to police.

Homicide detectives investigating the case are asking anyone with information about the shooting to call their squad at 631-852-6392, or Crime Stoppers, a confidential police hotline, at 1-800-220-TIPS.
All calls will remain confidential, police said.
