Man, 21, Shot In Shirley Garage: Police

SHIRLEY, NY — A man was shot inside a garage in Shirley Thursday night, police said.

Suffolk County police said Seventh Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting the shooting at 9:04 p.m. When officers arrived, they found that the man, who is from Shirley, had been shot inside an open garage area of a house located at 478 Carnation Drive, police said.

The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.
