Man Charged With DWI Had BAC More Than 2X Legal Limit: Cops

MASTIC BEACH, NY — A Mastic Beach man was arrested after he was caught driving with a blood alcohol concentration more than two times the legal limit, police said.

According to New York State Police, Robert McMahon, 47, was arrested on July 12 at 10:10 p.m. after he was stopped on County Road 51 for a vehicle and traffic violation; upon further investigation, McMahon was found to be intoxicated with a BAC of .17%, police said.

McMahon was charged with driving while intoxicated and was issued an appearance ticket for Southampton Town Justice Court, police said.
