
MASTIC, NY – Police are investigating a bank robbery that occurred Tuesday in Mastic.
A man entered the HSBC bank, located at 1718 Montauk Highway, at approximately 1:20 p.m., approached a teller and presented a note demanding cash, police said. The teller complied with the man's demands and gave him cash from the drawer. The robber fled the bank on foot and was last seen heading eastbound on Montauk Highway.
The robber was described as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his 20s with dark hair, medium build and average height. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with a GAP logo on the front, ripped blue jeans and blue sneakers.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Major Case Unit detectives at 631-852-6555 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
