
SHIRLEY, NY — A man was shot at a Shirley laundromat early Wednesday, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, Seventh Squad detectives received a 911 call to investigate the shooting at Laundry Kingdom, located on Montauk Highway, that injured the man at 12:49 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male with a gunshot wound to the leg; the victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
