MASTIC, NY — A 29-year-old Shirley man was slashed with a knife at El Campo Deli Grocery in Mastic on Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said. It happened at around 6:15 a.m. after the man got into a fight with another man, according to police. The man self-transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in East Patchogue with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Further details were not available.
