Man Stole Sneakers From Famous Footwear: Cops

SHIRLEY, NY — The search is on for a man who stole sneakers from a Shirley store in March, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and find the man who stole two pairs of sneakers from Famous Footwear, located at 999 Montauk Highway, on March 29, police said. He fled in a black or dark gray Dodge minivan with missing rear hubcaps, police added.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about the incidents can contact Suffolk County Crime Stoppers to submit an anonymous tip by calling 1-800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and a message to “CRIMES” (274637) or emailing www.tipsubmit.com.
