Man Stole Sneakers From Modell's: Police

SHIRLEY, NY — The search is on for a thief who stole sneakers from a Shirley store, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct Crime Section officers are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole varsity trainer competes sneakers from Modell’s, located at 1019 Montauk Highway, on May 5 at 5 p.m., police said.

The man fled in an older model blue Jeep Cherokee, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
