Man Working On Minivan Crushed To Death Outside Mastic Beach Home: Police
He had been working on it in his driveway, when the supports underneath the vehicle failed, Suffolk police say.
MASTIC BEACH, NY — A Mastic Beach man was crushed to death when a minivan the supports for a minivan he was working on failed, and it fell on him on Thursday night, Suffolk police said.
Officers were called to the Cypress Drive home at around 8:45 p.m. after a 911 caller reported finding a man pinned under a vehicle outside the house, according to police.
Detectives determined Jose Balmore Gonzales-Flores, 43, had been working on his Honda Odyssey in the driveway, towards the rear of the house, and was underneath the vehicle when the supports for it failed, causing it to fall on him, police said.
